Trend Alert: Embroidery
I love when old trends make a come back. Unless we’re talking about Uggs and velour tracksuits. Those two can burn forever in the hell of old trends.
One of my favorite old/new trends is embroideries. I remember during my NYC days when Valentino debuted its Fall 14 collection and Dolce & Gabbana released its S/S 15 collection with all those beautiful embroidered dresses, the only thing I could think about was when a brand that I could afford would start producing pieces that could mimic such artwork. I remember waiting for those dresses to make it to the windows of Bergdorf Goodman so I could finally admire them from up close.
Fast forward to 2017, the trend has finally hit the mainstream pretty hard. You can see it everywhere, from shoes to shorts to dresses and shirts to accessories.
The thing about embroidery is that it can make the simplest of the pieces look like couture. I think very few trends carry such power.
Whether you decide to go with embroidered words, rainbows or other motifs or the more traditional flower patterns, there’s no way you can go wrong with this trend.
I got this dress from the picture from SheIn. I absolutely love the embroidery on it, the material and the bell sleeves.
I also have a little list of picks for you guys, so I hope you like it. I’m definitely buying some of these: (Click on the images to shop)
