Galentine's Day Blogger Brunch

I’ve always had that event planning vein flowing in my body, ever since I was little. From planning surprise parties to friends, to my own birthday celebrations, to work launch parties, I’ve always enjoyed putting events together. Then one day I thought to myself, now that I have a blog and have met some amazing people through that network, why not start planning events here too? So a couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of hosting my first event in San Diego.

A Galentine’s Day Blogger Brunch, to be more precise.

I realized that getting inspired by so many amazing women on Instagram everyday was something worth celebrating. And what better time than Valentine’s Day to celebrate people you admire?

So I created this imaginary date in my mind, invited all of the boss babes I could possibly remember (if I didn’t get to you, my sincere apologies. You’ll be on the list next time), and as soon as I had an estimated headcount, I started reaching out to restaurants like crazy. Like in any other event, closing a deal with a venue is probably the most stressful part. After having to send a ton of emails and make a ton of phone calls, I finally found the perfect place.

As soon as I contacted the guys from King & Queen Cantina, I knew the place was the right choice. Their management staff the sweetest and most helpful people on earth, but that’s not even the best part. The restaurant is THE CUTEST thing and their food - a Mexican twist on brunch - and drinks are to die for! They were super accommodating and were always there to help our huge group. Side note: They even kept my camera safe and contacted us after I forgot it there (too many mimosas!). Total Angels.

Another thing that made our brunch even better was all of the amazing sponsors we had. They were kind enough to work with the super tight time frame I gave them and provided us with some amazing goodies for the favor bags we had for each one of the girls. So I just wanted to list them here as a thank you!

Coco Chantelle Candles - The most amazing candles ever!

Yum Earth - They have the cutest and most delicious organic snacks.

Gorjana - I’m obsessed with Gorjana’s super dainty jewelry.

Sleek Shop - Sleek Shop was super kind to send us some awesome hair and skin products.

Paru Tea Bar - Ya’ll know how much I’m into teas, and Paru is one of my favorite local brands.

In Succulent Love - The little succulent favors were a huge hit at the brunch!

BlushTan La Jolla - I’m so excited to get my very first spray tan ever! If you ever need a nice tan in San Diego, BlushTan has the cutest studio.

Health Ade Kombucha - I’m also a heavy Kombucha drinker, sooooo needless to how I feel about this one.

Kind Snacks - I’ve been a Kind fan for years, so I was pretty stoked to have their bars as part of our goodie bags!

Speaking of sponsors, I wouldn’t have got all of these amazing collaborations without some help. So huge thanks to my friend Ashley, from Fashannliz, for helping me make the goody bags even more amazing.

The best part of putting this event together was seeing all of those amazing girls hanging out and talking blogging, lives and careers. It was great to be able to spend time with some of my favorite girls and meet new ones in person.

Our Galentine’s Day Blogger Brunch was a success and it really got my little creative juices flowing, and I can’t wait to plan my next event.
