Valentine’s day is two weeks away and if you’re like me, you’re already picking your outfit, whether you’re going out with your S.O. or partying the night away with your best girlfriends. So I decided to help you out with some really cute outfit ideas that won’t break the bank.
Happy New Year! Hope you’re having an amazing first week!
Pantone has got us all shook when the color of 2018 was announced last month. According to the color institute, “[a] dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade, PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future.”
One of the best parts of the Holiday Season is having Secret Santas pretty much every week. I mentioned here the other day how much I love to gift people, so shopping for Secret Santa is always a lot of fun. The tricky thing about this kind of gift exchange is that often times people don’t necessarily know much about each other’s personalities, thus they don’t know what to get.
The second gift guide of these series is dedicated to all of the women out there. From your mom, to your best friend, to yourself. This guide was inspired by the style driven women I see on a daily basis on Instagram and in real life, who appreciate good quality traditional pieces and yet keep up with trends.
The Holiday Season always gets me super excited because I love to gift people and plan little events. If I could do these two things all year long, I would. When it comes to gifting, I try and put a lot of thought into what I’m getting someone based on their style and/or personality, because nothing sucks more than getting a present that you hate.
Ever since my mom got rid of my dear interchangeable bands watch - circa 1998 - I’ve never worn another watch. They just never felt right on my tiny wrist. At least not until I came across JORD wood watches.
With the holidays approaching, I feel like my entire closet is slowly turning red and white. Am I the only one? I’m bit biased though, because red is just my favorite color. So, when I found this little red dress from Pretty Missy, I knew I had to get my hands on it.
I’ve previously mentioned here how obsessed I am with shoes. And I have to admit that was great to hear from you that I’m not alone.
When I posted a poll on my Stories asking if you guys were interested in post about my favorites shoes for this fall/winter I did not expect the overwhelming amount of people who would vote “yes.” As a matter of fact, I only got one vote for no, which came from my friend Michel - I see you, dude.
San Diegans know that fall doesn’t really start for us until it’s already winter everywhere else. Nevertheless, we try as much as we can to make it happen. In order for us to do so we have to rely on fall garments that come in lighter fabrics as well as on trendy accessories.
Portland has always been one those city that intrigued me for a long time. All everyone kept telling me about it was that it rained a lot there, that people there are considered pretty weird and that the overall vibe of place was just grunge. So when we decided to take a trip there, I set my expectations pretty low.
One of the beauties of living in San Diego is that it allows me to take road trips to a variety of places that are an hour or two away, and if I really feel like being on the road for a little longer, I can easily get to places like L.A., Big Bear Mountain, Vegas or the Grand Canyon. So whenever we get a chance, Chris and I take little leisure and work (I know, the perks of working with social media) trips around here.
I just wanted to start out by saying that I feel really lucky that I got the chance to take two back-to-back trips to Palm Springs. Two totally different trips that made me realize how versatile and welcoming the city is.
Those of you who have been following me since the beginning of the blog know that for the past couple of years I’ve been struggling with weight gain in spite of maintaining a fairly healthy diet. So when the guys from HomeDNA reached out to me asking if I’d like to give the Healthy Weight Analysis + Report Kit a try, I was stoked.
As much as I hate to admit it, this year has been so busy that I’ve been having a hard time keeping up with all of my tasks and events. Between my full time 24/7 social media job, the blog, trying to lose weight and wedding planning and just life in general, sometimes I feel like I’m just going to explode. Those are all great problems to have, but they still take a toll on me, physically and emotionally.
I’ve always had that event planning vein flowing in my body, ever since I was little. From planning surprise parties to friends, to my own birthday celebrations, to work launch parties, I’ve always enjoyed putting events together. Then one day I thought to myself, now that I have a blog and have met some amazing people through that network, why not start planning events here too? So a couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of hosting my first event in San Diego.
I know I’ve been gone for about two weeks now, which I’m going to explain why in a future blog post. But today I’m back to talk about my New Year’s Resolutions.
Well, not the traditional resolutions that people make in the beginning of every year. Those I’ve already mentioned in a previous post. This time I want to show you guys my 5 Resolutions in Decor for 2018.
2017 hasn’t really been a memorable year for most people. A lot of really bad things happened all around the world, and I feel like a lot of people sort of lost faith in humanity. However, in spite of those bad things, I’ve personally had an amazing year. So many really great/life changing things happened to me, that I thought I should share some of them with you.
If you live on this planet, you must have heard something about K-Beauty (short for Korean Beauty) by now. There are a ton of articles out there talking about their super crazy/amazing 8 and 10 step routines. But before you get all lazy, let me tell you more about it and show you a quicker 5 step routine that will change your life. And your skin!
I’ve never been the kind of person who cared about skin care that much. That’s partially due to the fact that I’ve had pretty good skin for most of my life (thanks for the good genes, mom!), and partially because I’m a naturally lazy person. All of that changed once I turned 25 - you guys, it’s been less than 3 months - and mother nature decided it was about time for me to start having skin problems.
Every holiday season I face the same dilemma: should I buy ton of wrapping paper that eventually will go to trash or should spend money on expensive little gift bags that don’t even look that great under the tree?
Fall is time of the year in which we can eat pumpkin everything without feeling guilty. It’s also the time of year in which you need to get extra creative about what to bring to dinner parties, because chances are you have at least one per week and you can’t stand eating your own mashed potatoes anymore.
Move over, Starbucks’ pink drink, it’s time for the real royalty to shine! And I mean, literally shine.
If you haven’t heard of S3 Coffee Bar, a San Diego based coffee shop, you’re missing out BIG TIME. They have the cutest and most delicious coffee and tea drinks in town. Trust me, if you’ve read my previous posts, you know I’m pretty much a coffee shop connoisseur. If you don’t leave in SD, but happen to visit the city, make this place your must go stop, because I’m telling you, that place is about to become the next Instagram fever.
